MY Work

Original Productions Intern at PBS NC (may-July 2025)

I was the summer Original Productions Lifestyle/Culture Intern at PBS North Carolina. I worked on seasons 22 and 23 of NC Weekend, a lifestyle and travel show, and seasons 39 and 40 of Black Issues Forum, an in-studio talk show.

I served multiple roles such as a production assistant, grip, behind-the-scenes photographer and social media content creator.

In addition to gaining experience in all parts of the production process, I had the opportunity to work on the 40th anniversary special for Black Issues Forum and Fashion Forward, a documentary exploring HBCUs’ influence on the fashion landscape.

Producing & Editing original work at PBS NC For NC Weekend, season 23

As part of my internship, I pitched and was later given the opportunity to produce and edit a 5-minute-long story for PBS North Carolina's NC Weekend travel show.

The story explores the historic Temple Theatre in Sanford, North Carolina, a beloved regional playhouse with national-caliber talent, impactful youth programs, and stellar leadership from Peggy Taphorn, who was in multiple Broadway Productions.

The story is scheduled to air during Season 23 of NC Weekend, on December 4, 2025, as part of an episode titled Small Town Gems.

I am a reporter and crew member for Sports Xtra, a student-run sports broadcast show. Through this experience, I have learned to produce excellent packages, graphics and scripts under time pressure.

Assistant AV Desk Editor at the Daily Tar Heel

After being a staffer on the Daily Tar Heel's Audio Visual Desk during my Sophomore year, starting August 2025, I am taking on a leadership role as the Assistant Audio Visual Desk Editor for UNC Chapel Hill's award-winning Student Newspaper.

I create short-form and long-form content on Instagram and YouTube for the DTH. I am trusted with covering newsworthy events, producing the weekly sports podcast Hark the Pod, and working on long-form and serialized documentary work.

More Than a market

A documentary short for the Daily Tar Heel

In Spring 2025, I created a documentary short for The Daily Tar Heel on the Carrboro Farmers Market, spotlighting its importance to the local community and showcasing the farming practices of some vendors.
